We hosted our wedding at Alders in fall 2018. Despite the rain the venue was great. We had nearly 130 guests from across the world show up to celebrate with us. Luckily we had adequate tenting from Relay Event Rentals as the weekend was very rainy. The two tents provided plenty of area next to the covered Alders longhouse, where the dance was taking place. The cabins were very cozy. Nearly all of them had fires going inside, keeping the guests warm during the weekend. The hosts, Doug and Cheryl provided plenty of help during the weekend. Doug was helpful and has hosted weddings countless number of times and was able to ensure that the Alders property and guests were taken care of. We will surely be back to celebrate our anniversary in the years to come. Thanks for the great weekend!

Had a wonderful 5 nights here. We had a beach view. Our cabin was a new one with 2 baths and sooooo much storage. We were 6 adults and 2 children and we were not crowded. Some units are more rustic but all of them are very clean. Staff was very pleasant and helpful all the time. We loved it and will hopefully be able to go back some time. Thank You for your great hospitality Alders Beach Resort.

Wonderful! I stayed here with my family when I was a kid in the early '80s and it was lovely to return. I stayed in one of the newer cabins, Spruce, which was very well-appointed, even including a dishwasher! The view & setting is pretty much unbelievable, as you are right on the beach. I appreciated the contactless check-in and the fact that there was Wi-Fi. The gas fireplace was awesome as well! The caretakers were very helpful when my pilot light went out. The cabin was incredibly clean (and I mean CLEAN - I had to move one of the couches at one point because I dropped something and it rolled underneath, and there was not a speck of dust even underneath the couch). Even though it's 10 or 15 minutes from the main road, it feels like you are worlds away from noisy, busy civilization. This is an incredibly peaceful and relaxing place to be. And, you're only about half an hour from Courtenay or Campbell River so if you need supplies, they are very easy to find. The cabins here are all self-catering, and most of them are fairly rustic with wood stoves. Make sure you check the website so that you get the amenities you're looking for and pick a newer cabin if that's more up your alley. It was really beautiful here in the winter time, with a light dusting of snow on the ground and a warm fireplace to cozy up to. Highly recommended, especially if you're looking for a peaceful retreat.

This was one place that makes you slow down and think how lucky we are to visit here. this postcard-isk property will have you feeling Serenity the moment you put your bags down. Photos and words don't do this gem justice. Stay as long as you can, soak in the nature and enjoy a peaceful stay. Thanks to RJ and Sonoama for being such great hosts.

It's remote, but it is phenomenal!!! The surrounding area, the beach, and the forest are all spectacular!! It is worth a visit if you can. A definite treasure! The managers are fantastic, incredibly welcoming, and provide an excellent level of service. The grounds are a perfect balance of natural and kept. My only comment would be to visitors...drive slowly on the hill, so many people walk on the roads, pets, and horses too. Be mindful of speeds, keep it slow, why rush through such lovely scenery anyway?
